Looking back...

The three most important things I learned in Visual Merchandising are,

1. How to draw in perspective as well as portray light and shadow
2. How to work in a group; time management, efficiency, communication, balance of workload, conflict resolving, and stress management
3. How important store layout, including planograms and window displays, are for sales as well as attracting the target market aimed for; specifications.

The biggest challenge I faced was learning light and shadow; taking a risk and bringing values to the next level.

The biggest success I had was working in a group; I really feel my skills for working in a group have improved.

  1. That is so true the light and shadow is a scary concept especially with only ink.
The stress management, once you have mastered it, teach it to others i think everyone is doing poorly in these busy days.

  2. Light and Shadow was a big challenge for sure! Lighting is such a broad topic and it's difficult to interpret what your seeing in your head to what's being shown on paper.
